Rising Communicator Scholarship Applications Guidelines

Students must meet the following criteria: - Student must be enrolled
enrolled in at least nine undergraduate hours and majoring in a field of communications.
- Student must be a member in good standing of an AWC student chapter
affiliated with the Tulsa Professional Chapter (OSU or TU).
- Student must
have completed their Freshman year of undergraduate study before applying.
- Applicant
must attend the November AWC Tulsa Professional Chapter luncheon meeting at Philbrook
Museum of Art.
Recipient Selection is based on: - Demonstrated excellence
in communications.
- Positive contributions toward communications on campus
and/or in the community.
- Scholastic achievement.
Applicants must submit
the following: - A one-page resume that includes school activities,
internships, jobs, professional activities, honors and achievements.
- A
300-500 essay describing why the nominee has chosen the field of communications
and how they will use that profession to make a difference.
- Two letters
of recommendation from people with academic or professional experience in communications.
- College transcripts. Photocopies are acceptable. Do not send transcripts separately.
