March 4 | Oklahoma Women’s Coalition: Working to Improve the Lives of Women and Girls in Oklahoma | Speaker Panel | 11:30 AM | Philbrook Museum | Register now through February 27
In honor of Women’s History Month, our March program focuses on women in Oklahoma. Statistics show that Oklahoma ranks as one of the worst states in the nation for women.
- Health & Wellness – 50th in Women’s health and well-being
- Alternatives to Incarceration – 50th in incarcerated women
- Violence Prevention & Response – 48th in women murdered by men
- Economic Security – 47th in economic mobility
Come learn how the statewide, non-partisan non-profit, the Oklahoma Women’s Coalition is working to affect these stats and improve the lives of women and girls through advocacy and education. A panel of the Coalition’s Partner Organizations will be on hand to share their thoughts and views on how this OneVoice approach is helping their agencies. Panelists from The Mental Health Association of Oklahoma, Stand in the Gap Ministries, Domestic Violence Intervention Services, and the Girls Scouts of Eastern Oklahoma will join us. We hope you will join us, too!
