September 3 – 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM | RE: Being a Leader in Today’s Changing World: The Honorable Susan Savage, Tulsa’s first female Mayor | Philbrook Museum of Art | 27th and Rockford Ave. | Registration deadline: Thursday, August 28th by 5:00 PM. — Register Here.

She’s a 2014 YWCA Woman of Moxie! Susan Savage, the first woman to hold office of Mayor of Tulsa, will share her thoughts on women in leadership, whether they are in the PTA, the City Council or on Capitol Hill. There’s no question that we’ve come a long way since gaining the right to vote in 1920! But, we’ve got a long way yet to go. The vision of those women who fought so hard for the basic right to vote is far from being realized due to a number of economic, societal, political and cultural influences. Susan will share her story and advice on being a leader in today’s changing world.

Susan Savage held office of Mayor of Tulsa from 1992-2002. She was appointed Secretary of State for Oklahoma from 2003 to 2011.
